Statue of Mesrop Mashtots

The statuette is dedicated to Mesrop Mashtots (c. 361-440), an outstanding Armenian scientist, educator, missionary and linguist, creator of the Armenian alphabet (405). It is an artistic embodiment of the image of a man whose deed laid the foundation of Armenian writing, culture and national identity.
