Description
The statue is dedicated to the outstanding Armenian poet, philologist, and translator Paruyr Rafaelovich Sevak (1924-1971), whose work has become an important milestone in the history of 20th-century Armenian literature. It is not just an artistic creation, but a symbolic tribute to a literary genius whose legacy continues to inspire readers and poets.
Paruyr Sevak (1924-1971) was an Armenian poet, Doctor of Philology, and translator. He is the author of the famous poem "The Unsilent Bell Tower" (dedicated to the tragic events of 1915 and the fate of the composer Komitas). His poetry is characterized by deep lyricism, philosophical depth, and loyalty to national traditions. He tragically died in a car accident in 1971.
Thus, the statue "Paruyr Sevak" is an artistic representation of the memory of a poet whose words remain alive and relevant, and whose personality continues to serve as an example of dedication to literature and cultural heritage.
